Write, Act & Direct Your Own Short Film
The session begins with a fun briefing and the formation of mini “film crews.” Each team receives a basic theme or genre—think comedy, drama, or silent film—and then gets to work developing a script, planning scenes, and casting roles.
Teams are formed and each receives its genre, a few props and a secret twist to include.
Everyone plays a part: writers, actors, camera crew, directors and even costume stylists.
Crews shoot their scenes in the streets and plazas of Seville, using phones or simple equipment.
Our team helps put the films together, ready for the big screening.

Do participants need any filming or acting experience?+
No. Our team guides every crew through the process, and phones or simple cameras are all that is needed. The fun is in trying something new together.
Where do we film?+
We plan routes through photogenic parts of Seville such as Santa Cruz, Plaza de España and the riverside, and can also film in your hotel or a private venue.
What equipment is provided?+
We provide the brief, props and costume pieces, and support with editing. Teams can film on their own phones, or we can supply cameras and microphones.
Do we get to keep the films?+
Yes. After the screening, all the films are shared with the group so everyone can watch them again and show them back home.
Can the activity be done in different languages?+
Yes. The activity can be run in English, Spanish and the Scandinavian languages, and the Silent Movie Challenge works for any mix of nationalities.
